In-kind Donations of New Items
The Salvation Army accepts in-kind donations of new items - often in large or bulk quantities - that can be distributed to needy individuals and families or otherwise used at one of our local centers. Examples of such items include new computer equipment, school supplies, long-distance calling cards, new blankets, new electric fans, office supplies and personal care goods.
Naturally, issues such as storage space and our ability to distribute (or use) the items must be taken into consideration. Please call 423-756-1023 x1102 to discuss the feasibility of a potential donation.
During the Christmas season, The Salvation Army has a need for the temporary use of cell phones, trucks with drivers, and other goods or services that contribute to the success of our annual Christmas Assistance Program. Restaurants may contribute meals for seasonal volunteers, and retailers may donate free or discounted items to be given to donors and/or volunteers.
