Wal-Mart Donates 85 Fans to the Salvation Army for Beat the Heat Campaign!
Chattanooga, TN – With temperatures rising in the Tennessee Valley, individuals are turning to the Salvation Army for relief from the heat, and the donation of 85 fans could not have come at a better time! The Salvation Army will pick up these fans tomorrow, June 25, at 10:00 AM from the Wal-Mart in Ooltewah.
"What a blessing! This donation could not have been better timed; we are down to three fans as of today," states Area Commander, Major Jim Lawrence. "Our heart felt thanks goes out to Wal-Mart for helping us assist those in need."
The Salvation Army states that the 85 fans should get them through another couple of weeks of hot temperatures, however, in the past the need usually goes well through out the summer. Donations of new fans or monetary gifts are still needed and can be brought or mailed to 800 McCallie Ave, Chattanooga, TN, 37403. For information on receiving one of these fans please call 423-756-1023.
