Salvation Army Gearing Up for Their Busiest Season

Chattanooga, TN – With those needing assistance more than doubling this year over last, The Salvation Army's busiest time for fund-raising could not come soon enough! Already slightly down this fiscal year, The Salvation Army needs your help financially and with volunteering.

As Thanksgiving and Christmas approach, The Salvation Army is dusting off their red kettles and stands and giving them a new fresh coat of paint. We are also recruiting troops to volunteer for the holiday opportunities. Registering those in need for Angel Tree, ringing a bell, serving Thanksgiving or Christmas meals, or stuffing an empty stocking, The Salvation Army needs over a thousand volunteers this season to make it a success!

"There is no greater joy than to donate time or money to help those in need," states Major Jim Lawrence, Salvation Army Area Commander. "So many find the rewards far surpasses what they could imagine."

If you would like to volunteer please call Will Hale, Director of Volunteer Services, at 423-756-1023. Monetary donations may be mailed to The Salvation Army, 800 McCallie Ave, Chattanooga, TN, 37403. For more information you can visit us on the web at www.CSArmy.org
