Salvation Army Loads Emergency Mobile Kitchen Unit for Another Day of Feeding
Chattanooga, TN – The Salvation Army of the Greater Chattanooga Area is calling in volunteers to prepare for feeding in Hamilton, Walker and Catossa counties. The Mobile Kitchen unit is being loaded with sandwiches, drinks, and snacks for delivery to those affected by the rising waters. Salvation Army officers who are Pastors will be on hand to talk and pray with those affected by the floods as well.
The Salvation Army is also partnering with the American Red Cross as it prepares to open shelter for those who had to be evacuated. This will be the second time in less than a week that The Salvation Army has assisted flood evacuees.
Monetary donations are needed to sustain our relief efforts. Donations can be made on-line at www.CSArmy.org or by calling 1-800-Sal-Army. They can also be mailed to 822 McCallie Avenue, Chattanooga, TN 37403.
