Salvation Army Extends Angel Tree for One More Week with 252 Angels Needing Adoption and 735 Needing Their Gifts Returned!
Chattanooga, TN – The Salvation Army Angel Tree provides Christmas assistance for those who would otherwise not receive anything under their trees. The Salvation Army will extend the Angel Tree deadline to Sunday, December 13 since there are still 987 individuals needing presents! There are 252 Angels still needing to be adopted. However, 735 children or seniors have been adopted but the gifts have not been returned to the trees located at Hamilton Place, Northgate, and Bradley Square Malls.
"We have so many Angels that have been adopted and still do not have gifts," states Major Beverly Lawrence, Director of Women's Services for The Tennessee Valley. "We desperately need those who have adopted angels to return these gifts."
The Salvation Army needs the community to be generous these last days of the Angel Tree Program. More people than ever before have registered for The Angel Tree and are in need of assistance.
Monetary donations are also needed to purchase gifts for children and seniors. Donations can be placed in any of the red kettles, mailed into the offices at 800 McCallie Ave or can also be given on line at www.CSArmy.org or by calling 1-800-Sal-Army.
