Chattanooga Mayor Ron Littlefield, lends a hand TODAY to ring the bell in efforts of rallying support!

Chattanooga, TN – The Salvation Army is still behind last year in its fund-raising efforts through the Red Kettle Campaign. At 79% of its 2009 kettle goal of $349,000, Mayor Ron Littlefield joins The Salvation Army in encouraging the community to be extra generous this last week of ringing bells. The Mayor will ring bells TODAY at 11:00 AM at the Signal Mountain Blvd. Wal-Mart.

"The Salvation Army is one of the most effective organizations in our community," states Mayor Ron Littlefield, "I encourage everyone to join me in donating time and money to help them reach their goal."

The Salvation Army still needs your help! You can still sign up to ring the bell or donate monetarily through Christmas Eve.

Monetary donations can be placed in any of the red kettles, mailed into the offices at 822 McCallie Ave or can also be given on line at www.CSArmy.org or by calling 1-800-Sal-Army.
