The School of Culinary Arts
This program, led by Chef Terry Epps, teaches low income and homeless persons the skills needed to attain employment in the food service industry. Students are taught environmentally friendly gardening in our on-site garden provided by Ace Hardware, food preparation and food service skills. The first class in still in session and already students have secured jobs and housing!
You are invited to attend our Open House on June 28th at noon at 800 McCallie Avenue to learn more about the program, meet the students and sample their culinary creations! Please RSVP to Jennifer Fisher by June 20th at 423-756-1023.

The Furniture Bank
The Salvation Army in conjunction with the United Way of Greater Chattanooga operates a social service program which meets the furniture needs of qualified applicants. Applicants receive the items they need to start over in a home following fires, floods, homelessness and other major life changes.
You are invited to help the Furniture Bank serve those in need! On June 26th from 8AM until 2PM we need volunteers to help us move furniture. Please contact Sharica Smallwood at 423-756-1023 to get involved and help your neighbors!

Social Services Ministries
The Salvation Army offers a tremendous social service ministry to the Chattanooga and Cleveland communities. Clients with demonstrated need may receive assistance with medication payments, utility bills, food, clothing, shelter and more.
You are invited to help our caseworkers meet client needs! Assist with our food pantry, shelter operations, client interviews, data processing and more. You can help restore the essentials to those who have been hit the hardest during the economic decline. Please contact Sharica Smallwood at 423-756-1023 to get involved!

Emergency Disaster Services
The Salvation Army responds to fires, floods, hurricanes, tornadoes, and other disasters in Chattanooga and beyond. Staff and volunteers run shelters, distribute food and provide emotional and spiritual support for those affected.
You are invited to join the response team! To do so, please attend our free training sessions July 14th and 15th. Volunteers will learn about the response program and take courses in mobile kitchen operation, command structure and ministry. Please contact Sharica Smallwood at 423-756-1023 to get involved!
