Chattanooga Salvation Army Hosts Thanksgiving Eve Carnival Wednesday and Delivers Meals to Shut-Ins on Thursday
Chattanooga, TN – The Salvation Army and Unity in the Community are hosting the first Thanksgiving Eve Carnival tomorrow, Wednesday, November 24 at the Army's 800 McCallie Avenue location. The Carnival will provide a new family-style experience for homeless persons and the local community. The Carnival is open from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM and will feature games and entertainment. Hamburgers, hotdogs, nachos, popcorn and chili will be served.
The Thanksgiving Eve Carnival replaces of the Community-wide Thanksgiving meal held in previous years at the Tennessee Pavilion. Monetary donations to help with the Thanksgiving Eve Carnival expenses may be mailed to The Salvation Army, 822 McCallie Ave, Chattanooga, TN, 37403.
On Thanksgiving Day, The Salvation Army will deliver Thanksgiving meals with all the trimmings to local shut-ins. The Salvation Army, with the assistance of its great volunteers, has been hosting this annual tradition for thirty years.
