Community Foundation of Greater Chattanooga donates $25,000 to tornado relief in the Chattanooga Area
May 2, 2011– It takes a community working together to overcome the needs that it encounters. The mission of the Community Foundation is to encourage giving and inspire action to improve lives in the Chattanooga area. The foundation gives local community members an opportunity to directly impact specific concerns in their community. In the aftermath of Chattanooga’s recent tornado disaster, the Community Foundation donated $25,000 to The Salvation Army to assist in their relief efforts. Pictured below is Lt. David Costellow, Public Information Officer for the Salvation Army, receiving the check from Robin Posey, Program Officer with the Community Foundation. We greatly thank them for their generous contribution.
