What: "Hands Across Hamilton Place"

When: Wednesday, May 4th  7 – 7:15 pm

Where: Outside Hamilton Place Mall

Exactly one week after storms ravaged our area, citizens will have an opportunity to come together to begin the healing process. Beginning at 7 pm friends, neighbors and complete strangers will join hands to form a human chain around the outside of the mall.

Attendees are asked to bring a non-perishable food item. Both mall entrances on the upper level (near Piccadilly and American Café) and the Food Court Entrance on the lower level will be staffed with Salvation Army volunteers beginning at 5pm. Local clergy will also be available to support those who may be grieving.

The Salvation Army continues to provide emotional, spiritual, and physical care all around the Chattanooga area. For more information, please call the Salvation Army at (423) 756-1023.

The Salvation Army, an evangelical part of the universal Christian church established in 1865, has been supporting those in need in His name without discrimination for 130 years in the United States. Nearly 30 million Americans receive assistance from The Salvation Army each year through the broadest array of social services that range from providing food for the hungry, relief for disaster victims, assistance for the disabled, outreach to the elderly and ill, clothing and shelter to the homeless and opportunities for underprivileged children. 82 cents of every dollar spent is used to carry out those services in 5,000 communities nationwide.
