VOLUNTEER

Join Us In The
#Fightforgood!

Last year, almost 3.3 million people volunteered their time, talents, and resources to assist The Salvation Army's work in the United States. Our volunteers are critical partners in helping us fulfill our promise to America of "Doing the Most Good."

In the Greater Chattanooga Area, we have volunteer opportunities for individuals, families, mission groups, churches, corporate teams, students and more! Both one-time and ongoing positions are available for a variety of needs. Tools, training and support are always provided. Volunteers play a crucial role in The Salvation Army's ability to provide quality programs for those in need. We are grateful for all who serve with us!

CURRENT NEEDS

Seasonal

Help us spread hope as we re-imagine some of our classic fall-time service events in new, safer ways. Volunteers are still needed for MLK Day of Service, Mardi Bra, Youth Center gatherings and cold-weather support for the un-housed community.

Long-Term

Provide regular support to the social services department, food pantry, after-school youth programs or development team . These opportunities are great for individuals looking complete school service hours, gain professional experience and make a difference through ongoing service. Groups & Teams

We offer engaging and meaningful service opportunities for corporate, faith, school and community teams of all sizes. Groups are welcome to register for any of the events on our registration page. If your group has a specific service date or idea in mind, great! Please complete our Group Interest Form below for additional options.

Give Back - At A Distance.

If you need a little more space right now, we understand! There are plenty of alternative ways to serve those in need without joining us at a physical location. Consider donating items from our in-kind list, sharing our posts on social media, or praying for us!
