The Salvation Army of Greater Chattanooga is in Need of Monetary Donations, Heaters, Gloves, Hats, and Hand Warmers due to Cold Weather

Chattanooga, TN – With temperatures dipping below freezing all week, The Salvation Army has had hundreds of phone calls from neighbors needing assistance with utility bills and supplemental heat to battle the cold. The Salvation Army is placing a call for help to the community to donate new space heaters for our low-income neighbors, and gloves, hats and hand warmers for our homeless neighbors! Monetary donations are needed to assist with high utility bills.

“Our goal is to keep our neighbors safe and warm in their homes,” said Kimberly George, Marketing Director for The Salvation Army. “Everyone who shares the warmth through their gifts is showing their deep concern for those in danger of the frigid, life-threatening weather.”

Donations of heaters, gloves, hats, and hand warmers are being accepted at The Salvation Army, 822 McCallie Avenue, Chattanooga, TN, 37403. Monetary donations can also be made online by visiting csarmy.org or by calling 1-800-Sal-Army.
